Circle of Parents

strength and support for parents, by parents
What is Circle of Parents?

The Circle of Parents group provides a place for parents who have children with disabilities and/or mental health issues to come and share common experiences, successes, and challenges through a monthly group meeting co-led by parents and professionals. Participants will:

-
Gain a sense of belonging and relief as they learn that their family dynamics and their child behaviors are more typical than problematic
-
Become resources for each other onside and outside of the group by sharing coping strategies and parenting skills from parents who have '"been there".
-
Circle of Parents is a source of strength and support for parents by parents, providing lasting friendships for group participants.
