Butte 4-C's will begin to review applications the week of June 6th-10th. 

​​Butte 4-C's is administering Summer Scholarships on behalf of MT’s Early Childhood and Family Support Division (ECFSD) For working families of elementary-age children entering Kindergarten through 5th grade in the Fall of 2022.

Basic Eligibility:

  • Parent/caregiver must be employed.

  • Documentation of summer care arrangements must be provided to be considered eligible. Example Documentation:

    • printed enrollment form

    • letter from the caregiver or program

    • receipt from the program

    • written letter from nanny or babysitter

  • There are no income limits or income requirements.

  • For the care of children entering K – 5th grade in the Fall of 2022.

  • Care for children receiving the Best Beginnings Child Care Scholarship is not eligible for this funding.

Summer Care and Expenses:

This scholarship is intended to help cover the overall cost of summer care for a child. Expense examples include:

  • Summer camps

  • Licensed Child Care

  • In-Your-Home Care (ie: nanny, babysitter, etc.)

  • Expenses around care (ie: lunch for camps, transportation/gas, necessary items for care experience items like a new swimsuit or art supplies, etc.)

Scholarship Awards:
  • Applicants will be contacted by the Butte 4-C's by the email address or phone number they provided in the application.

  • Awarded applicants will receive a check via mail.

Additional Information:

  • There may be follow-up from the Butte 4-C's or the Early Childhood Services Bureau.

  • *This opportunity is made possible by the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSA).

  • **ECFSD anticipates a total of 3,200 scholarships to be awarded across the state of Montana. Applications will be awarded following a regional allocation formula based on census information, in order to ensure equitable access.
