WHAT WE ARE WORKING ON
The FLOC (Families Leading Our Community) is a parent group that is a key part of the Zero to Five Butte-Silver Bow Collaborative. The FLOC works to make sure that the changes being worked on in our community are for parents, by parents. We meet regularly at different locations and promote social contentedness and peer support for the families of Butte-Silver Bow.
Learning Landscapes aims to transform everyday places into learning opportunities for children with an emphasis on positive parent/caregiver interactions.
Supermarket Speak aims to spark conversations and parent-child interactions in the aisles of grocery stores by integrating playful signage and activities. This project will be piloted at the 2021 Butte Farmers Market with the hope it will be introduced into local grocery stores in the future.
In partnership with New Hope Clinic we have established a store front to streamline the display and distribution of clothing and other necessities for children ages 0-5 years. Foster families and reunited biological parents can access these items year-round at no cost.
